This house was built more than 130 years ago and had been abandoned for many years before they purchased it. What they did with it is incredible! This is how it currently seems…
This house, built in 1887, was deemed unsafe to visit since it appeared to be on the verge of collapsing at any moment. People didn’t give this large ruin a second consideration when they were seeking to acquire it, but everything changed when residents Jim and Jean Leaman stepped in. The retired couple’s admiration for the decaying abode’s traditional architecture drove them to acquire it after witnessing its state deteriorate over the years.
They transformed the ruin into a lovely location we can all call home after 5 years of working on it day in and day out.
The transformation is incredible! But wait till you see what’s inside…
This was the first appearance of the home.
But here’s how it appeared once it was restored.
The interior will take your breath away. It looks like something out of a Harry Potter film.
The flooring are comprised of five different species of wood, and stained glass panels allow a rainbow of colors to shine through.
Each of the five bedrooms on the second level is individually designed and appealing.
However, this modest attic space is ideal for an office!
It’s difficult to believe from how it seemed to what he made it out to be.
It took a lot of labor, time, and money, but he managed to turn the wreckage into a pleasant and comforting home.
